I got my stuff back from Pat. As  always, his work is amazing! If you haven't sent stuff to him, I don't know what you're waiting for.

Shortened the shell by 1".

New palms (tightened to match original CCM palms), -1/4" gussets, and replaced nameplate cuff extension. AX1 style binding.

New nameplate cuff extension and liners. Went with double liners because there's no plastic inserts in these so I wanted some permanent padding added.

Gave Pat a pair of solid black gloves and he turned them into this.

  • New pearl palms, tightened 1/2" at the wrist
  • -1/4" gussets
  • AX1 style binding
  • Shortened fingers from 14" to 13"
  • Baby blue carbon pinky stripe and Hossa cuff
  • Yakupov split on top of cuff
  • Anisimov split on bottom cuff

I am a believer. Speechless. Just... wow.

Spec/mods:

-Hossa Warrior Franchise 14"

-Installed a 19 cm x 6 cm Warrior Yellow Silvershield liner that was sewn 2cms away from the binding and into the cuff (see diagram -- I did this to lock in the wrist while allowing the hand to move freely in the glove; I got the idea from a pair of Pavelski gloves I used to own)

-Installed white sponge mesh gussets

-Minus ¼" gusset height

-Salvaged the original (brand new) yellow mustang palms

What do the mesh gussets feel like? I'm on the fence about 'em...

Shouldn't feel them much or at all. If anything, you'll feel air circulate through the fingers. Highly recommended if you sweat a lot or don't like the hot, dry, sauna-like feel you get when using other non-porous materials (depends on the climate as well; here in Cali, the rinks tend to run on the warm, humid side, so air circulation is a huge relief).

They have more give to them like an elastic. They arent as stiff as normal gussets. I have them in all my gloves and love them.

After just getting them in two pair the only thing I would say is the seam between the index and middle finger in the crotch feels a little irritating other than that the feel great very breathable.

^ yeah I agree, I don't like the feeling of the seam that much, I've always preferred micronash gussets

I prefer mesh over everything, second would be stretch gussets.

What's been the turnaround time people have experienced with Pat? I'm going on about 2 weeks, I know he's received the gloves but haven't gotten any updates in a while.

He's usually a week or less I know he is a little back logged from his vacation but I wasn't able to get a hold of him last week either so he must be pretty busy. I know he was taking in stuff while he was on vacation so he's probably swamped with those and current orders still coming in. I would shoot him an email Monday morning.

Pat did an amazing job on my easton gloves by removing one inch of cuff. When I saw him, he was really busy. It took one week to get my gloves. So if anyboy ordered big modification, it might be longer.

Just got repalmed and mesh gussets, nothing too fancy. I figure he's gotten a lot of business from the members here.
