Whats up all-

Just curious, how much difference performance wise will the APX be then the X60s?

I still see many pros using the X60s.

Having owned a pair myself, I can attest to their stiffness and well built boot.

How much different/better are APX?

Worth the upgrade...?

i upgraded to apx skates from x60's

i can definetly say the toe cap is wider, which was perfect for me, if anything thats the greatest improvement for me.

also, my skates are outfitted with x7.0 tongues, and tuuk custom plus runners and stainless steel blades

i actually prefer this set up over the ls2 steel and runner that bauer makes with them now, the entire skate feels stiff, i feel no added weight, still feels lighter, the edge stays sharper longer

the boot is supper stiff which i love, and i've never had sore feet in them at all.

i love my apx's

the only thing i had going on with my feet in the x60's was my right foot pinky toe rubbed the toe cap and it gave me this weird bumo/bunion thing on the outside of that toe, almost like a big calus. since wearing my apx's its pretty much disapeared

SAME exact thing happened to me, but on my left pinky toe!

Nothing serious, I still love the skate. Thinking of picking up another pair :woo:

Well how easy is it for you to break in skates? If your x60s fit perfect then I would just stick with them unless you come by a deal on the APX's. That's the only reason I got mine :P

yea the toe cap in the x60's is just narrow, but a 7.5e skate was too wide!

I noticed when lacing up my X60s, it wasn't a straight even lace up though. Around the 4th/5th eyelet down it bowed out a little.

You guys have that as well?

I think my foot is better fitted in the supreme line, On my TOs I have a straight lace up, no bowing of the eyelets. Also never have had any pain in them. My vapor x60s, were causing my pain under the balls of my feet, and on the sides as well.

The vapor 7.0 is an X60. The APX is a a vapor skate using the sureme materials. If you look in the NHL more players are using the X7.0 and X60 than the APX

^ I noticed more NHLers usIng X7.0s, then APX.

Why is that?

Because 7.0s are x60s

Understood.

But still why X60/7.0 vs APX?

Tongue and blade are different and its easier than customizing the apx ??
Maybe the apx is too wide for them and they prefer the more narrow 7.0 ??

Easy enough for pro to get an X60 tongue and steel on APX.

More or less certain they just know what works for them (X60) and don't want to switch.

The pros that use the x7.0 were most likely using the x60 previously and they use it over the APX probably due to the fact that it fits them better. Also, the APX/TO alive composite outsole isn't for everyone.

I believe the X60/7.0 boot cut is different then the APX.

Also think the APX eyelets are different, they lace higher.
