Wow this is great to hear. Turns out Hudler is 5.75 which would be ideal for me.

People that size down 3 sizes for skates arent actually wearing 3 size larger shoes.. they are wearing 3 size larger sneakers, and a decent amount of wiggle room in the toes at that.
I size down 2 - 2.5 vs a sneaker, but only 1-1.5 vs a well made dress shoe or boot that runs true to size.

this is a very good point. I wear 12-13 sneaker, depending on the brand, but I'm a 10.5-11EE boot depending on the brand.People that size down 3 sizes for skates arent actually wearing 3 size larger shoes.. they are wearing 3 size larger sneakers, and a decent amount of wiggle room in the toes at that.

It would be best to just use mm to measure shoe size, like they do in Asia.
Feet are just under 300mm and I wear 10ee vapor x:60 with my toes barely touching the cap

I traced that outline of my foot on a paper and measured the longest length, I forgot what the width was, I did this a while ago to order cycling road shoes.
Our way of sizing shoes & skates is just dumb
