Kovalchuk= Top 5 style of all time. I feel like you might be in the minority with that one, pal.

Did I hurt your feelings when I called your cage dusty?

Idiot, I don’t wear a cage Haha, pal.

I think You got butthurt after getting some heat yourself.
You always complain but clearly are dust yourself.

I wear Oakley/CCM straight cut. And I play full contact - probably something you wouldn’t handle.

Not sure what your beef is here. Also confused as to what I complain about on this site.

I come on here and make the odd wisecrack but it’s all in fun and the majority of the time it’s directed at people that I actually know...

Another member mentioned that any cage aside from the 480/580 can be considered dust. I also hold that opinion but I understand if people use something else, whether it be because it’s lighter or has thinner wires, or just fits better, ’s all preference and at the end of the day that’s what matters.

I’ve also come to realize that people that brag about playing full contact hockey as grown ass adults that aren’t professionals often look like Ed from 90 Day Fiancé so my condolences for that one.

Beef is that you jump people and now me when you get your own medicine,, someone you know nothing about and try to Come at me when you have nothing to Come with - Are you gonna assume things to make yourself look greater?
Wrong Guy to compare with in that case.

Very off topic.
But the battles, hitting, always be ready to take and Give a hit.
The aggressiveness, the different ways to close someone down and the finess to get out of a battle as one piece.
Counter hitting in the corners, hip checks.
Responsibility to make a play that wont send your buddy to the hospital.
The chirping and sometimes chaos.
It’s a different vibe at practices and games.

Probably many more reasons.

But it’s Also some backsides to it and We usually get 3 concussions on average, some collar bones, a few teeth knockad out and one or two ligaments.
One guy’s shoulder got shredded this season and unfortunately he’s done with hockey, even non-contact.

Since I am running the team and also work (yes, getting dough) from the club as well and sign all the players and literally handle everything that has to Do with Our team and around it, I can say that all of the guys wants to get back asap after getting injured.

We’ve only had one guy during these 6 years that retired after his First game where he caught a concussion followed by a hit to the head coming from behind.

Thanks for your response though. Ferda!

Helmet: Bauer 4500 with clear Bauer Pro Straight or oreo Profile II if I’m worried about my jibs
Gloves: CCM HG97
Pants: Bauer TotalOne
Skates: Bauer 2S with Step V-Steel
Sticks: Bauer 2S Pro/1S/MX3 in P28/P91 depending on my mood
Shoulders: Bauer frankenpads
Elbow: Jofa 9025
Shin: Reebok 14k

A clean visor will always take the top spot in the sty department. To clear things up on Bauer cages if one must cage (IMO):

- The black and oreo profile II look pretty clean (see: most Bauer NCAA teams), which makes sense seeing as it’s basically a carbon copy of the 480/580. The similar old itech oreo also works but you can’t get one for under $200 these days in decent shape so we can ignore that.

- The Reakt cage (and literally anything other than the profile II/480/580) makes a brand new helmet look like it’s been sitting in an attic for 15+ years.

Time for my mixed vintage/modern setup. I’m partial to mostly classic gear done right, but really dig some newer materials for gloves and shin liners.

Helmet: Jofa 397 w/ 995
Gloves: Warrior Franchise
Pants: Tackla 5000 NHL
Skates: Micron Mega Air 90
Shoulders: Easton EQ50 (Recommendations for upgrade? I like the mobility and protection balance here)
Elbow: Jofa 5066
Shin: RBK 8K Pro
