These refs have been awful, and that goes both ways for sure.

Pure Domination from the Kings.

Doan likely won't get even get a hearing, but Hanzal will be gone a couple games.
He shot at the 2 hole....that's what she said

Hopefully Hanzal is gone. He's been brutal.

Dustin Brown is an embarassment by the way...

hey SHaun, why do you say this about Brown?

He dives all over the ice. He slew foots guys, hacks them behind the play. Smith whacked him ( big deal) and he acted like he was sniped from the rafters all the way to the box. He kept falling down selling the Smith chop. He gets "slashed" and cries to the ref. I've lost total respect for him.

Hanzal was retarded with that hit, he should get 3 games, the Doan hit, you can't call that cheap, the player saw him coming and Doan was already in the hit the player turned his body and there you go. The next person who says Doan throws hits like this is a dumbass.

Brown dove all over the ice this game, he's a hell of a player but almost every contact the guy went down, he didn't do that shit before, just ridiculous.

Not sure if you're calling him out for diving here, but as a Kings fan I can say that watching him dive for the past five or so years (especially as Captain) has been absolutely maddening. That said, since Sutter arrived and Brown was almost dealt at the deadline, he's been a completely different player and has cut the diving.

The "embellishment" call on the Smith slash was ridiculous.

Edit: Sorry, missed your next post. Either way, that wasn't embellishment.

The initial whack from Smith probably shouldn't have been a dive call but he earned it on the way to the box.

Looks like the Kings will win this easily.
I wonder if the Coyotes played their last game in Phoenix last night?

Hanzal gets one game. Doan nothing. Morris nothing. Smith nothing. Seems fair...

ya, it was fair. Hanzal's hit is the only one that was viscious and unprovoked.

I would say Smiths slash was unprovoked... he should have been fined but not suspension worthy.

He has been in and around the crease all game.

I don't think that gives the goalie the fair opportunity to chop somebody's legs out though. That just doesn't seem right to me.

The hit on Lewis was unfortunate, but I don't think it deserved extra discipline.
Hanzal - that was just terrible. 1 game is pretty thin, in my opinion.

But hey, I'm not an official and I'm not in the NHL, so it's not worth much.

I agree with all that. Lewis saw Doan coming and turned around. Just as much on him as it was on Doan, who had no time to stop.

Did Hanzal have any priors? I don't seem to recall any, which is why I'd guess he got one. I expected two for sure though.

I agree Smith should have got a fine. He had a solid wind up on that slash lol.

Peterypablo I would to hear your sob story on why the discipline wasn't fair.

Did Quick get anything for this?

Doan "boarding" penalty. Did King get anything for injuring Pietrangelo?
