The Kreps curve is actually an old Ovechkin clone, back when Ovy entered the league and before he developed his current pattern. Kamil Kreps used many versions of both Ovys and Kovalchuks curves in his days in Florida, but he mainly used Easton sticks a few years ago. Easton took his early Ovy clone pattern (Since Ovy was on CCM) and named it after Kamil Kreps. Now its a really popular curve amongst pro Easton users and other companies have adapted it as well for the pro ranks.

I still have a One95 Kreps with a Kovalchuk clone and used to own a Kreps with a current Ovechkin clone too.
