not exactly, HP30 are pretty much the same like 1053. Weak back, mesh liner, one belt and so on. 520S are much stronger.

HP30 are cut just like HP35 and 520ECHL but I believe are just made from different materials (more fabric-like rather than "slippery" nylon). I don't think there is a current iteration of the 520S. At least I haven't seen one. I don't think many people prefer such a high rise pant these days so maybe it's just been phased out.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the HP45 and HP45X? Is the X model extra padding?
I believe the X model has the zipper around the waist to add an inch to the length.

On the CL models, the UCLP has the lighter U-foam pads like the retail CL's, whereas the UCLX has molded PE with thicker padding.

From what I've read, the HP45 (rbz) is essentially a new version of the UCLP? I've been hunting a pair of UCLP's in black XL in like new condition but I'm becoming more unsure about the size.. I just bought a pair of Sens one95's in XL and they are borderline snug in the hips and legs. Length is okay. I just like pants loose. I thought CL's in an XL would work but everyone saying they run small is making me question this.., Can anyone comment from a comparison experience on both?
For reference I am 6' 225.lbs and have been using several pairs of Tackla 52 lowers with a pair of 20 Year old destroyed Tackla 52 uppers for the past 18 years or so...
