Theres a guy on the other team that when his team would play ours he would walk over to our side of the rink and do that to our stick rack right before we came out for warm ups, and so many of the guys on the team use bauer sticks except me that they can spend like 10 minutes sorting it out "uh who uses this one?" while i'm already on the ice since i use sher wood only.  At out next game i was thinking of trying to smash his stick if he tries it again.  But i quit that team

No hockey for a few weeks, argh. Our adult league that's an hour away is done as is our local adult league. The ice is gone here at home for a while now. At the other rinks an hour away they do a combined summer league for A thru C players and it's a bit weird from what I've been told. So, a group of us has supported and played a Friday night B/C level league the last couple years. I can't make the first season session though due to family stuff going on... but plan to play the second one which will fill the summer up for me and keep me in shape for the two leagues in the fall. Until then I'll be out road and mountain biking to stay in shape. It's not easy when you get to be my age! I'll be 53 in about a week.

my rant,  isnt a rant more like an OUCH

 

i play center, and the other team got a breakaway and our D was nowhere to be found.  I skated and caught up to the guy and dove to lift his stick, as i slid i came in pretty fast and slammed into my goalies skate,  and knockedmy breath out.  I got up and kept playing with some discomfort on my under arm

 

Finally get home and my under arm feels extra sweaty/wet

 

 

I take off my shirt and its bloody and my underarm is all covered in blood,   Kind of random.

Close call bud. A person I know from my hometown was playing junior and went for a loose puck and the d chasing him caught up and they both went down. The dman got up but he didn't.

He laid there in a pool of blood. He has a gash under his arm up by the area you described. He lost alot of blood. Almost died! His heart pumping from racing for the puck and the artery cut made it worse .

To make matters worst he was playing on an island. It was a ferry ride to get there to the town. A helicopter ride. After lots of blood and recovery in hospital he made it!

All the pro padding we buy and extra padding can never get you ready for these freak accidents .

My buddy got a goalie skate to the chest, it cut right threw his shoulder pads and put a pretty big gash into his pec, he was pretty lucky, coulda been a lot worse.

Thanks guys, i'm glad too, especially since this is the second goalie skate gcut i've taken, the last one was on my face back in february.  Thats horrible about that guy, Wass, jesus i'm glad he survived.

I work at a community college as a Theatre Tech and we rent out the large theatre... It confuses and annoys the hell out of me when student run groups come in here and don't know anything they are doing... Then decide to blame it on us... Screw them...a

Just got my computer back from repair on Wednesday and it has to go back in tomorrow. Hopefully this classifies me for the No Lemon policy and I get a brand new Mac. The time without any form of computer sucks though! #FirstWorldProblems

ooooh i got one, two guys bid on my total one i've been trying to sell and the other on my v08 helmet.

 

Guy pays for my total one and the next day i go to ship it out.  But something, just something tells me "dude dont ship it out right now, dont ship it out."

So i get out of the line and go home.     Once i get in my truck and put the stick in the cab my phone goes off with a ebay notification.  The guy wants his money back  because he "found a better stick flex to better suit his needs"

 

I said no bud i shipped it, and my policy as stated is no returns, you clicked buy it now and its all you now.

 

Ebay rewards him his money back the next day.
