They're actually pretty comfortable, but I can see how you would think that. They're pretty boxy from the outside.

I completely forgot about it and logged in as the auctions were closing, I about kicked myself when I saw what some of them went for.

There were definitely some deals, maybe because they really weren't anything special compared to their normal practice jerseys?
I love the black Step, and noticed a pretty decent difference in feel; plus at the very least it looks cool!
I had the same feeling trying to get them into the holder as well, as well as getting them out. No major issues though.
I will say I'm a little worried about taking them into the shop for a sharpening, going to have to watch to make sure they don't stone them!
