the AX1 Letangs. it didn't help that they were made without liners. they seemed like the least protective gloves ever. no liners, no plastic inserts. I know Letang's not a shot blocker but in this day and age of certain teams requiring shot blocker for even MORE protection I thought it was weird that Letang would want less protection.

REAL MIC Franchise were one of the best gloves ever. I'm fortunate enough to own a pair of MIC Letang Franchise and they are awesome!

Agreed completely! I couldn't believe how little padding he has in those ax1's/ franchise. I'm not sure why he'd want such little protection. I know his new alphas that I have are a night and day difference as far as protection goes. Hey if you're ever interested in selling his MIC'S let me know Haha. I really like the shortened blooming cuff he had on those. Wonder what made him make the switch to the Hossa short cuff.

Yeah it's definitely something I've never seen on any other gloves. The one pic I posted shows it kinda. Basically the whole liner is removed and he has just a small flap of liner in the thumb portion. Not sure why he has that.
