Do you guys use wax on your hockey stick. What are the pros and cons of wax. If you guys do use wax what is your favorite or do you just use the old fashioned candle? Thanks Boys

Yeah i got it at a surf store because it is basically the same and got like 15 for a dollar a piece. Sex Wax also seems to prevent the most ice build up too

I apply a nice layer Sticky Bumps then melt it into the tape with a hair dryer. Works great to keep the tape from getting soaked.

Sex wax indeed. I keep it in the wrapper it came in after I use it. Apply it every game, cause it comes off. Heat gun to ensure a nice distribution.
Keeps the water and snow outta my tape.

Mr.zoggs sex wax all the way the van white one. I use to use a hockey puck to rub over my freshly taped blade.

Sex wax for me too, I store it in a small tupperware container in the bag, never gets any dirt or grit on it that way and like mentioned, I tape my stick{s} before every game as well so I tend to use a lot of wax.

Wax increases your puck control if anything. It's like $3 for a "puck" of it. Just go buy one and try it out. Worst case scenario, you've wasted $3.

One more for sex wax. Before I used A&R stick wax, it costs more that sex wax, but it doesn't hold up as well.

Mr. Zoggs user here.

love it, probably the best i've used compared to the others, it doesnt fall apart, i dont take it with me since the way i tape my sticks now a days the tape doesnt fall apart on me like everyone else. its great, i apply a small ammount to the bottom of each blade and its great, no more snow build up on the tape that wets the tape freezes under the tape and then pushes the tape off and it feels like the puck is more in control even though sometimes the puck is insane and rolling once i grab it, it settles down on me.

Feel free to check out my hockey reviews, or random stuff

This past season I've been off the wax, probably for the first time since I was a teenager. I've learned to love the feel of fresh tape on its own.
