I figured since there is such a HUGE influx of these pants and I just recieved mine figured id do a quick comparison of fit and answer any questions

Gonna be pretty basic, so feel free to ask any specific questions

MHP7000 - Size large compared to my Large 520s deff fit a bit snugger and had a real wrapped fit around the kidneys and waist, much more padded feel. The front crotch/lace up area was very different then what I am used to and is very simple, allows for good lean forward and movement without all the junk in the way.

MHP520ECHL-Much lighter due to the mesh and has some less padding around the waist thigh area. Has a natural Large fit with a high waist. Coming from a Bauer Supreme Prostock pant, these Reeboks are more managable. Laced up like my Totalone retail pants but obviously much bulkier of a pant

MHP520s- I have coming in tuesday and will complete this comparison

Similarities are flexibility, length, rear padding, overall feel is not to far off....waist height and abdomen area are the most noticable areas

I just typed this fast and rambled on...let me know if you have questions

You know, i measured a couple from the bottom of the pants to the top of the uppers and they varied to about 1" in length. Not sure why that is, maybe some people want less kidney protection?

It's weird right... Some are huge some are a little shorter. I always get the huge ones (my lucky) but I just swap them out. It's a pain though

Any difference in length on your legs?

I've done measurements on both and they dont vary too much. Most of the difference is from the uppers kidney protection. I have all the measurements written down and will post tonight.

Although I assume the answer is yes, can anyone tell me if the lowers of the 7000 and 520 are interchangeable? I bought a pair of each from HM but they are different lengths and will hope to make the best combo

Ok so really rough measurements, but my 7000's seem to be around the 25.5" to 26.5" from bottom to highest point on the uppers. The mhp520's range from 26" to 27 on my larges. My mediums are around 25 to 25.5". Take it for what you will. If anyone has suggestions on how to better measure, let me know.

If I'm wearing a retail 11k pant at the moment what do you guys recommend I go with 7000s or 520s? do the lengths of the pants fit similar to retail pants? I had trouble before finding a pant that was long enough thats why I'm wearing the 11k. I'm about 6ft and 210 pounds and wear a large 11k pant but wasn't are if I should get large or large +1 in the ccm pants.

I just measured by size Small CCM Ducks pants from bottom of leg to highest point and its 27.5 inches!! I heard they run really big so that's why I got a small.  I'm 5'9" tall and these will work -- they are tight which I like probably a half inch longer than I would like but with suspenders will be ok.  Based on these measurements and the ones above I might be ok with the 520 large that I got for Oilers.

My 7000's are snug. Maybe too snug for my fat ass. I will have to try again and see before I make any decisions.

Beantown, Sharks, or anyone really, are the 520's noticeably less snug than the 7000's of the same size?

Ok I got my 520s in today....here's the differences:

1. The 520s are noticeably loose in comparison.  I'll need suspenders compared to the 7000s.

2. The 7000s uppers are completely different which are lower than the 520s.  I was a bit uncomfortable in the 520s while they also kept falling down my legs.

3. The 7000s have better padding on the legs, better for D-men blocking shots.  The 520s have better kidney protection though.

4. The 520s (vented) don't really feel that much cooler.

5. The 7000s are tighter pulling them up (I have to work my way a bit) but once they are on, they are very comfortable and snug but not overly tight.

6. The belt on the uppers of the 7000s is loose and moves around, while the 520s is sewn in place, not a big deal.

7. I would say the 520s aren't necessarily as loose as they sound, but if buying the wrong size will be very noticeable.

Keep in mind I haven't even broken in the 520s yet, I'll probably wear them a few hours before I hit the ice Friday, but I do notice the 7000s fit a lot more like Vapors.

Overall I think I prefer the Bauer Supreme and 7000s when it's all said and done.

So you are saying that the 520 feel more like Supreme or not?  Cause Supremes and Vapors are two opposites :D

Anyone know if the fit is different from the vented to non vented 520?
