Just spray the entire stick with gloss clear coat, do a few light coats and keep the can about a foot away

In Topic: Bauer pro stock extended shaft help

I've been able to pull the extension out of 2 Bauer shafts (C29 One95, and A26 APX), I cut a little bit into the fuse point, heated up for a really long time and then pulled it out. I've tried the same process with blades and never been successful.
I tried using the extension in another stick and it broke where I made the small cut, maybe the cutting is unnecessary, but it sounds like you don't want to re-use the extension anyways
