True skates are highly heat moldable. I've found that the Catalyst line feels the closest to the Mako II. I have the Catalyst Pro, Catalyst 9, and Mako II's and can use them interchangeably with no issues. Avoid the Hzrdus line, as they are much stiffer.

I finally completed a set I've been tracking down for a long time: North Dakota Fighting Sioux. If you've never been to a North Dakota game in person, I highly recommend it. The stadium is beautiful with a pro-like atmosphere.

Frankenpads are the way to go. I rotate between two pairs of U+ Crazy Lights with CCM 1899 shoulder caps. One has the clavicle guards intact and the other cut off. I've also used Sherwood 5030 shoulder caps/bicep pads with good results.
