So after a 19 day wait my skates arrived. After being told the wait time was going to be 4-5 weeks i was pleasantly surprised. Had edge tuuk holders installed and finally getting to see them, i had come to the conclusion that pictures do not do these skates justice. But god damn are they ugly. Right off the bat you could see the areas of the boot that they compensated for my ankle issues. After heating them up, some assistance getting my foot in the boot and lacing them up... i was in shock. Not a single hot spot, pain, tightness, discomfort... nothing.
I’ve been in top of the line skates for a majority of my life. I have an extremely high threshold for pain, i can usually tell if a skate is going to work or not as soon as i lace them up during the molding process.
I was a bit skeptical still during the molding process because i knew the the final test would be when i get on the ice. Fast forward 9 hours later, i lace em up with relative ease, despite how much the skate wraps in the area of the top 3 eyelets. Took 3 hard strides onto the ice and made a hard cut to my forehand. My eyes lit up and i couldn’t believe how they felt. The balance, pitch, wrap of the skate left me with nothing but confidence right from the get go. Little to no adjustments needed to be made. I haven’t been able to skate like this since i was in Swiss made 703’s.
I’m happy i went this route, I’m actually more pissed that i hadn’t taken the plunge sooner. These skates are the truth and don’t see myself second guessing them one bit.
