Peter laviolette fired this morning, i'm not really sure why. I thought he was/did a good job there and Ed Snider had given him a vote of confidance before the year and a 2 year extension.

That really sucks, getting fired three games into the season. That's like getting fired after a week in a 9-5, M-F job.

like the new nets, the average number of icings per game has gone up 3 or 4 but besides that the new rule is good

Prettymuch saying don't disrespect the league or it'll bite you in the ass. I didn't find the goal disrespectful. It was an excellent showing of skill. It we also very entertaining.

I can see having a problem with more of the celebrating after you're up 8-2. Made a crazy move but nod your head and celebrate modestly.

You've got a point there, and that's true in the older game. As for the celebrating, the kids 19, his mom was in attendance and he was having the game of his life. He'll learn how to control himself with time.
