I don't wear CCM gloves because they're pretty, but it helps. I love how they're tight in the fingers and have full range in the wrist.

But look at these... as if they're not the prettiest? (I think the 500 CL's are ugly)

^^I use those black and reds, U+ 12's. I like the palms of the 12's better.

The RBZ is gonna give them some significant market share. I've always been an Easton guy, but if I could use only RBZs for the rest of my days, I'd be set.... as long as someone else was paying for them.

Seeing how the Reebok brand, in general, is being phased out... You are probably correct.

Here's a topic a buddy and I were discussing...

With Reebok scaling back their marketing and CCM obviously bumping up theirs, do you think it's in preparation for Adidas to sell off their share in hockey?

Outside of the 20K (love the 8.0.8, but that's obviously in the trash), what has Reebok done that's been remotely innovative that past two years?

Back in June (i believe), Adidas said they might be interesting in selling their hockey division.
IMO it will all depend on the performance of CCM in the next few months.

They are counting on the RBZ line of products to revamp the brand, if it doesnt happen, then who knows what will happened.

Unfortunately, with the lockout I don't think many hockey gear companies will have performed the way they had hoped.

Everyone I've ever talked to says they wanna try the RBZ, but they can't afford $279 or $299 plus taxes. They gotta find a way to make the RBZ a lower price point. I started seeing guys using TotalONEs more often when they started to drop to around $239-$259. Guys are spending that on the RSII, as I've seen them around a bit the last couple months. Once they get into the lower to mid $200s, guys start to justify it in their heads.

Oh and I've heard a split on the RBZ as far as who likes them. They either LOVE it or they HATE it. With the hate, it's rarely for the same reason. Some hate the shaft, some can't adjust to the blade, some say they're too heavy, the feel is off, blah blah blah. One pro told me hated the RBZ so much that he ordered 200 CL's to cover him for the next three seasons, just for when they stop making them. On the otherhand, I've seen pros do complete 180's in their gear because of the RBZ. Guys that used to rock Easton sticks and gloves have given the CL gloves a chance because they liked the RBZ so much.

If nothing else, the RBZ is getting CCM noticed.

I totally agree about the price. There's no reason it HAS to be at $290/$300. If they put it at mid $200 tons of people would be willing to buy. But a $300 experiment doesn't make any sense. I got mine on Boxing Day at 50% off. That's the only way I was gonna try it.

You got it. And I was number 8. At 6:30am. The store opened at 9:00am. It was a long two and a half hours, but totally worth it.

Actually, they said by no later than 2015, hockey hard goods would be gone. PERIOD.

There are two deals that I've heard in the works that could be interesting with regards to CCM.

A player at the rink out here had an RBZ at pickup today, simply asked if I could use it a shift. Tavares curve wasn't a fit for me but I loved the stick. Insane pop on my snap shot. Had no issues passing and receiving. Need to get a few pro stocks haha.

I'm close to picking up a CCM V08 helmet, it's a great looking bucket and fits really well, just wondering if anyone can vouch for the head protection and safety aspects?
