#332782 Ebay fraud buyers. Be Careful

Posted by Rink Rat on 25 August 2017 - 02:39 PM in Off Topic

Hey all. Just a heads up if you are selling on ebay these days. There is a rash of hacked accounts buying things. Half won't end up paying, but some do. Soon after you will receive an email asking to change the shipping address to

Hello, accidentally ordered for the old address, here is my right address
600 Markley St. Suite 094445
Port Reading, NJ 07064

Unless the user notices from the emails they get, ebay does not catch on for a few days, in which case you would have shipped the item out. A few times the user will notice and make a claim on it and the money will be held pending review in which case you will be forced to refund it. Or if it is not noticed, a week or 2 down the road when it shows on their credit card bill the same will happen. And as you have changed the shipping address to the unconfirmed one you will loose the money and the product.

I have had 12 of these in the last week, 8 of which were the paid sort. Lucky I have not been stung as I did a search of the address before shipping. But I know of a few people who were stung for their products,

If you sell something and you get that email. Cancel the transaction and refund the money right away. Then report it to ebay, and paypal. If you don't get payment, just wait out the non payers alert, or cancel the transaction. In both cases ebay will refund your fees and let you relist if you click the box for buyer asked to cancel the order. If you do not, message ebay and tell them and they will.\

#329709 Pro Stock Stick Codes - What do you have

Posted by Rink Rat on 15 July 2017 - 07:10 PM in Pro Stock Hockey Gear

All the Seth Jones sticks I have had were pretty much P92/P90. But he's a righty.

This stick looks like a P90M. Which is a P92/P90 with the M(max) height blade in the heel. Or maybe a bit more toe than P90 but with the M blade. So many guys are going with the M blades. I have seen P14M P90M P28M so far + custom curves with the tall heel.

#323723 Who wants to be a #WarriorVIP?

Posted by Rink Rat on 06 May 2017 - 08:53 PM in Hockey Gear

My name is Rink. I am a Libra and enjoy early morning skates on a freshly frozen over pond, wearing only my Nutt Hutt jock.

My Johnson is a bit short, but I know how to use it. I dangle with it enough to impress anyone and use it to go hard and deep into the corners. I am known as a Hustler and have been considered a beer league Franchise player. I am the Mac Daddy of bringing beer, always keep it ice cold and am Covert when entering the arena. My downfall is that on occasion I am a bit of a Syko and have been known to bash opponents off the Krown when they act like a Vandal to our snipers. One time I even gave some Kronik cheep shot bender a Nipple Grip on the way to the box.

My deep dark secret is that I am a closet goalie. I make it a Ritual to drive many a mile where no one recognizes me and perform Larceny in the net at many a midnight shinny. I have heard in my departure from the ice that I play with Swagger and could be a tending Messiah.

#323227 Easton Synthesis Shaft (85 flex)

Posted by Rink Rat on 02 May 2017 - 12:32 PM in Sticks - For Sale

Just a heads up, that CX pro stock looks a lot like the Ovie P08, more so than a P28 Kreps.

Incorrect. It is almost an exact P28 with a little more toe kink as described. There is no true way to tell a curve from a pic anyway.

3 pack Gaborik easton's dressed as s19s...

http://www.ebay.com/...621?rmvSB=true

Up for bid I have a three pack of brand-new Easton s19 hockey sticks. The sticks or pro return from Marion Gaborik. All three of these texts are Easton synergies. But they are all dressed as the Easton S 19. All three of the sticks are left Kerv with a curve similar to that of Bowers P 88 Patrick Kane also have a grip tech finish. There is some scratching by the blades from shipping. But other than that the sticks are in immaculate condition. The stakes are great, Easton S 19's are hard to come by nowadays

Must have apple auto correct.

#318520 The Official Skate Sharpeners Thread

Posted by Rink Rat on 14 March 2017 - 07:33 PM in Hockey Gear

Look at the way the guy is sharpening. Hes doing a fine job of destroying the wheel on his own. Thus the joke of letting some "rando" come in. Could not be worse and if hes that bad I doubt he would have the mind to not allow people in to frig with it.

I have seen the glaze. We tried it as we will not put the stone on the coated blades. Seems to be not too bad, but ended up going back to just a leather strop to remove the small burs. I even find most shops overstone normal blades and cause folding over time.

Prefer the blades out as well. A lot just bring in the blades now anyway as most who play rep hockey have 2 sets these days.

#318415 The Official Skate Sharpeners Thread

Posted by Rink Rat on 13 March 2017 - 12:37 PM in Hockey Gear

That 2nd video either has to be joke on bad sharps, or the guy filming was the actual sharpener and asked some random guy out of the stands to try the machine for a day. No way anyone would ever go back after that if it was real. I think if I was away and someone started that crap on my skates, I would grind his teeth on the cross grinder.
